Akissi: More Tales of Mischief, written by Marguerite Abouet and illustrated by Mathieu Sapin, follows the adventures of a young girl named Akissi as she grows up in the country of Côte d’Ivoire, located in the western region of Africa.

Throughout the graphic novel, Akissi’s brave and carefree nature lead her and her band of friends into precarious situations all across their town as they inadvertently cause trouble for Akissi and those around her.
